I remember them fondly from our brief stint ('89 to 91) in the Silicon Valley. I was listening to them, in the car, at the moment the Loma Prieta earthquake struck. All the stations on the dial went dead; they were the first one I heard come back. The initial reports were pretty grim (e.g., "We understand that the Bay Bridge has collapsed".Even the truth was fairly grim, as it turned out. That was a long night...
