Back when Alex Bennett wuz on KMEL in da 70s, he mentioned perusin' Tower's Columbus & Bay store in San Fran, & overhearin' a kid exclaim to his bud "hey man, did ya know Paul McCartney wuz in a band before Wings"? Heard the same comment, verbatum, inside Tower's 16th & Broadway store a few weeks later! Recently found an import copy of Mott the Hoople Live's 30th Anniversary Edition inside 16th & Broadway! Wonder if this means Tower Theatre's demise is imminent as well???
