The rec didn't do all that much for me, really. And I looked forward to it at least as much because of the Greenhornes.The last White Stripes rec is probably the best rec I've heard this decade, but the Raconteurs left me cold & kinda disappointed. It was surprisingly commercial-sounding, but that in itself is not enough to dismiss a rec so far as I'm concerned, even given how much commercial rock since 'rock' replaced 'rock and roll' that I have little or no use for. I should give it another spin, but I tried, & it just didn't do it for me. My expectations were high, but not irrational. Just not the sort of rec I could sink my teeth into, at least to this point.
