I just have to post about these guys. Realise they may not be considered Rock by some people.
Saw them last night at the Continental Club in Austin. Fantastic show. Totally emotional event based on Kirk staring down cancer.
Based on his performance he might just whip it. He still has the look in his eye. What a performer. There weren't many dry eyes in the house I can tell you.
The boys have shows booked through the end of November I think. If you can score a ticket you will witness something you won't forget for a while. The last song "San Antone" ends with the band singing (yelling) "If you want to die with me let's go" 5 or 6 times.
How hard must that line be to sing for Kirk ?
OK, I admit it, I'm wrecked by that show.
Check out "Live at the Bluebird theater" CD - that was one hell of a show that is captured there.
