Agree wholehaeartedly with you about these guys.
They are about to release a major box set in the UK. Am not sure which label (Free Reed comes to mind) but it is going to contain a lot of unreleased material. Probably wont sell much in the USA unfortunately but you never know.
Saw them more than a few times at the time of the first couple of albums came out. I still play that first album (the one with the coloured ties on the front) and continue to think that "The Battle" is one of the best songs of it's kind ever written.
Take me back to the Fairfield Hall in Croydon and put the Strawbs on stage.......dreaming again.
