some good action @ http://www5.head-fi.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=13many critics seem to like I Love Music @ http://ilx.wh3rd.net/newquestions.php?board=2 but never posted there and don't like the interface, although it's kind of like this one here.
the old CMJ crowd has a strong community of mostly indie types @ http://www.obner.org/bb/viewforum.php?f=1
but at the good boards it's still more about the people than the music. Nice little community at http://forums.audioreview.com/forumdisplay.php?f=40 but pretty dead most of the time.
the metacritic site has one but never posted there and don't know how much of a community it is since it's partitioned by genres such as the indie board @ http://forums.metacritic.com/eve/forums/a/frm/f/576108
