Rockstar Supernova and Product Placement?

I'm disappointed at the choice of lead singers, but the topic of this post is about the possibility of product placement.
I'm wondering whether Gibson somehow contracted with the rock star show to have their guitars heavily featured?
Sure, I did occasionally see a Strat earlier on, and I think the bassist plays a Fender bass.
But Gibsons totally dominated the show! The Gibson brand was represented by acoustics, SG, Firebird, 335, Flying V, and especially by numerous Les Pauls (P90s, standards, faded finish, black beauty, gold top).
Maybe the lead and rhythm guitarists preferred Gibson. A fair assumption. And maybe the vocalists who were competing for the job also preferred Gibsons--Ryan Star, Magni, and several others. Whatever the case, it's great advertising.
