This seems too obvious...wouldn't it make sense to enlist a 70s classic rock cover band? Bar bands are, in my experience, usually willing to donate a set to a good cause, maybe in exchange for beer. In the NYC boroughs, I do know, there's a scene, or at least used to be one, that is supported to a point because of the exposure the bands get to 'benefit audiences.' You might want to approach a local cover band & see if they'd be willing.If live music is not feasible, a classic rock DJ shouldn't be too difficult to suss out. Shoot me an email if there's anything specific I might be able to point you towards.
