I guess Starving Winter Report got a release in Europe last year, but not here until a couple months ago. Nice mix of Exile-era Stones and Dylan and the Band. Maybe a little too reverential at times, but when they launch into "Blindfolded" all is forgiven. Nice rec.And you know I love that Howe Gelb record too. And the latest from Steve Wynn (of Dream Syndicate reknown) is a winner, although I guess it got a release in Europe last year too. Nice rocking group of songs recorded down in Tuscon at Howe's normal hangout. And the latest from Built to Spill is high on my list right now. Love Doug Martsch and they really get into some good guitar jamming on this one. Just got the new Black Heart Procession and will probably be loving that one soon too. Couple others I really like, but haven't heard that much new stuff yet this year.
