Just discovered this recent solo CD by ex-Television Tom Verlaine. Starts out unaccompanied, with solo guitar miniatures in the ruminative style of Warm & Cool, and builds toward more extended arrangements with Billy Ficca on drums and Patrick Derivaz on bass. Verlaine's composing skills & affinity for classic Fender reverb guitar sound is very much intact after career sidebars producing for Patti Smith & Jeff Buckley. Very worthwhile, but don't expect Marquee Moon.Dave
