having the time of my life with all 5 of these. Now listening to the extra cuts in order. DOFP is very interesting, although in my mind the alternate takes seemed a distraction as my mind knew the "right" version....once a couple of glasses of wine were drunk that stopped and the beauty of the extras shown thru....but for some songs the reason they were not used shined thru. Much better is ISOTLC, much better composing and coherence....however....I remember the best that album ever was......
We were on some gawdamned forsaken, barren mountain in Mexico. Having driven down there in a WW2 surplus 6 wheel drive military vehicle that had been hippified to the tits. I was a guest of the Brotherhood of Eternal Love from Laguna Beach....We were consulting with a white witch and a brujo about celestial events and the manifestation of truth and how shitty the psilocybin tasted and at some point someone stuck ISOTLC into the 8 track in the vehicle and Legend of a Mind oozed out and crept thru us.
That was the best I ever heard that song.....
Especially considering a lot of things that I cannot speak of....
More to follow......
