June Pointer, 52, youngest of The Pointer Sisters has died in LA of an undisclosed form of cancer.
Best remembered for Slow Hand, Fire and Jump, the Pointers enjoyed considerable success during the 70s and 80s.
Personally I think their version of Springsteen's Fire was as sexy as it gets and Jump was a perfect piece of exhuberent pop-funk.
