What I've enjoyed about Calexico in the past is the SW flavor and it takes them a long time to get me out to the desert this time around. I want the Mojave and this is almost generic in terms of geographical ties.I've got a lot of yard work to do today so I'll be spending some time with this on headphones too. First impressions are that it's a great sounding recording with some beautiful tracks I just haven't been pulled in yet due to the lack of typical Calexico stylings. We'll see if it grows.
