I don't know about the "Belfast Cowboy" moniker, but, true enough, he always had some of those country strains. A whole album's worth is another story. He still sounds more like a blues/soul singer to my ears and not that credible on some of the tunes on this album. Still I think that established artists often get a pass on less than stellar work while new talent gets short shrift. Like he needs another million bucks!
