Not because they don't deserve it, I love early Sabbath and consider them one of the most influential groups ever. I don't know who the experts who vote artists into the HoF are but it seems like their taste in music was very influenced by American rock critics of the late 60's & 70's (some probably are rock critics from the 60's & 70's). While I liked most all the critical favorites (Velvet Underground, Stones, Who, Springsteen, Sex Pistols, Clash, Neil Young, Hendrix...etc) I also enjoyed Heavy Metal and Progressive Rock which the critics of that time hated with a passion.I think Black Sabbath finally made it into the HoF because their influence is so massive and undeniable that they couldn't ignore them anymore.
