A great new album is out featuring Boubacar Traore, Konko Magni. That hypnotic dwelling sound of African blues, with a full backing band unlike his last CD Sa Golo, which was just his guitar and a Calebasse.
If you are unfamiliar with this stuff, try this album and see what the magic is about....the blues had to start somewhere, the hot sands of Mali are as good a place as any. Just wonderful stuff.
