Prefab Sprout, "Falling In Love"

During the Fall 1990 quarter, my friend and dorm neighbor, Andrea, liked Prefab Sprout's Jordan: The Comeback. One day, she and I went to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. It took us a long time to make our way back to campus. Salty and sore, Andrea just wanted to take a bath. Our dorm's bathroom did indeed have a tub. Andrea showered off first, while the tub was filling with water. She then eased into the tub, closed her eyes, and murmured Prefab Sprout's "All The World Loves Lovers."

In the middle of August 1992, my friend ACS was preparing to go back to UC Berkeley. That summer ,she was working at the Union Square Victoria's Secret. With school starting, she had requested to reduce her hours at VS. Afterward, she and I ate an early dinner at the Lori's Diner, still at Sutter & Powell.

After that, we made our way to the iconic Tower Records, which used to be on Jones & Columbus. There, we saw A Life Of Surprises: The Best Of Prefab Sprout. Little did we know then, that Prefab Sprout's Paddy McAloon was working on a new album, which he wanted to be like the Beach Boys' (or Brian Wilson's) supposed masterpiece, which was ever released. McAloon's project was shelved, and was not completed and released, until late 2009. It would then be called Let's Change The World With Music.

15 years ago, I was working for a classier property management company. One of my coworkers took advantage, and used the big tub. She liked Prefab Sprout's "Falling In Love." Jeez, this itself feels like it was lost! But no, "Falling In Love" is just obscure, not lost.
