Prefab Sprout, "Sweet Gospel Music"

When I entered in college in 1989, my first student activity club was the Catholic group. Then, because of the record company twisting arms, Prefab Sprout released Protest Songs, which was actually from the mid-1980s. And then the Catholic group commingled with other Christian groups, before reaching out to non-Christian clubs.

I don't know what it was, about our Christian clubs of the time, but we had no dance ability, no rhythm or moves. Above, we looked like we were stamping out a fire, LOL!

And then, 15 years ago, Prefab Sprout had an album, Let's Change The World With Music, which was kind of Paddy McAloon's spiritual love letter to music itself. One which appealed to us Christians was "Sweet Gospel Music." Since the album as a whole was and still is unknown, sadly, hardly anyone knows about "Sweet Gospel Music."
