35 years ago, February 13 was not yet called "galentines." But one of my dormmies, Christina, had that as her birthday. So, a whole bunch of coeds threw a birthday party for her.

When they emerged, the coeds could be overheard singing Regina Belle's "Make It Like It Was." To this day, that sends chills down my spine. Once "Make It Like It Was" was released as a single around Spring Break 1990, it became a well-liked R&B/AC hit. All this time, it's been one of my wife's "audiophile references." An audio product absolutely MUST make her belt out "Make It Like It Was."
