Ah, Mission Dolores Park. 45 years ago, I had a few neighbors, who attended Mission High School. In those days, Mission Dolores Park was a sleepy open space on a hill, starting right across the street, from Mission High. Nowadays, it is a popular gathering place for locals and tourists alike.
In early 1980, I was with those neighbors, at Mission Dolores Park. There, they played Isaac Hayes' disco-like cover of "Don't Let Go," originally written by Jesse Stone, and perhaps most well-known by Roy Hamilton. My family was recently at Mission Dolores Park, where we had to play the Isaac Hayes version of "Don't Let Go," and some dude was uni-cycling downhill.
