In late 1987, my friend Shelley, then a senior in high school, was out with friends, as we played football. She was our quarterback, and, while attempting to throw a pass, got hit in the arm. She suffered a torn labrum, and never did play sports with us again.

Anyway, Shelley was a fan of heavy metal, and actually bought it. She'd then share it with the rest of us. In early 1988, I was with her in Pacifica, which is now crumbling into the sea. Anyway, she had AC/DC's "Heatseeker," which we all loved and rocked to.

10 years ago, Shelley introduced us to AC/DC's then-new "Play Ball." No, Shelley still didn't play sports. But that song inspired her to add a small tattoo to her arm. Of course, the audiophiles get all giddy, from watching the video for "Play Ball."
