25 years ago, my then-girlfriend TLS and I went to work out.

When we came home, we heard the Pet Shop Boys' "In Denial." TLS frowned, "Is that Kylie Minogue?"

Indeed it was.

TLS and I were stunned, that, in "In Denial," Minogue played the daughter of a gay man, who had not yet come to grips with his sexuality. In 1999, that was striking. And here at the end of 2024, 25 years later, "In Denial" is still striking.
