35 years ago, it was cold and dry, and my friend Stephanie could not concentrate on studying for finals. So she grabbed me, and suggested we go around campus, checking out parties and dances.
She dressed in layers, and when we got to one dance on the other side of campus, the DJ was playing dance music. One of which turned out to be Jermaine Stewart's "Tren De Amor." But as you know, DJs did not and do not announce or identify what they play. Stephanie and I did not know or recognize anyone at that dance. No girl would have said yes to me anyway, so Stephanie and I ended up "dancing" or "riding on the train" to "Tren De Amor" ourselves.
"Tren De Amor" did not seem to be well-known at the end of 1989, and is still not well-known, LOL. But that's why we bring it up.
