In the 1970s, our neighbor, Christine, on rare occasion, babysat me and my brother. Although we loved other babysitters, Christine was my favorite. Instead of just letting me and my brother play sports, she gave us nuggets of wisdom.
In Fall 1984, Christine still lived at home, and commuted to San Francisco State (above). By this time, I had entered 8th grade. Everybody loved Cyndi Lauper's "She Bop." However, Christine explained that this song was about female masturbation. Subject-wise, there simply wasn't anything else in popular music, about female masturbation.
When I was in college in the early-90s, we still loved "She Bop." But this time around, the coeds were free to discuss rubbing one out. Or, well, they were old enough, to have some experience in this matter. So they had more to discuss.
