35 years ago, I had friends who were entering Southern California's Chapman University, CSU Long Beach, Pepperdine, UCLA, and USC (above). And they were greeted by L.A.'s Motley Crue, who had a major hit, with "Dr. Feelgood."
"Dr. Feelgood" captured the urban decay of nearby Sunset Strip and drug dealing.
We have friends and relatives, who currently go to USC. They tell us that SoCal radio stations have "Dr. Feelgood" in constant rotation. So yeah, since "Dr. Feelgood" is actually 35 years-old now, it has become a "Classic Rock" staple.
