A month before I got into "high-end audio," we saw Great White (MSG opened), with Jack Russell as lead singer. We were kind of taken aback, at how professional both acts were. But by the end of the concert, we appreciated that both bands did not mess around.
Great White came from SoCal, and their bluesy hard rock just fit with the California coast. When we wanted to get away from the crowds at Santa Cruz's main beach, we explored the other County beaches. Most, like Panther Beach above, had hardly any visitors. So we had the the place pretty much to ourselves, and listening to Great White was a treat.
A few weeks ago, Jack Russell announced his retirement. Now we know that he saw the end coming.
