Greg Kihn Band was a really great, underappreciated SF band in the early - mid 80s. Their live performances were much edgier and punkish (in a good way) than what came across in the studio. With a break or two, they coulda, shoulda, woulda had the success of Huey Lewis. They were that strong.
Trivia note: Early in his career, Joe Satriani was in the band and played on one of their last records.
