Many of us now have kids, who are in college.

The college kids' laundry machines do not take quarters.

30 years ago, when my friends were still in college, being a housewife was the opposite of what they were striving to be.

But when they heard Basia's "The Prayer Of A Happy Housewife," they (a) wanted to go lilting to the beach, and (b) knew that someday, they'd get married.

Hey, maybe we were ahead of our time, doing "hot dog legs" decades before it became a thing.
