In December 1992, we went home for Winter Break.
When we returned to college in early 1993, two of my friends discovered that they had not emptied their trash, before taking off for Winter Break. Their trash had turned into a, um, biology experiment.
My friends' RA had a last name of Starr. Thus, she could sign letters, with a picture of a star.
Anyway, Ms. Starr, my friends, and I then heard Positive K's "I Got A Man," which was a back-and-forth between a guy and a gal.
In summer 1994, when my two friends were living off-campus, and had a car, they heard a new back-and-forth song, Heavy D & The Boyz' "Nuttin' But Love."
In 1994, MTV and VH1 were phasing out music videos, in favor of programs. After coming back from Davenport's Shark Fin Cove, we saw the video for "Nuttin' But Love" on BET, not MTV or VH1. And in that video were comedians and models.
