It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

Swing Out Sister, "Caipirinha"

In the early-2000s, the weddings took place left and right. I myself got married in 2003. With friends all now married, new family units were formed, and we adult kids finally moved out of our parents' place. No matter how much my friends made, they could not afford to live in San Francisco.

I continued to work in San Francisco. However, very few of my friends did. And those who did were either lawyers and doctors, whom I never got to see, during the work week.

Since most of my friends worked for biotech, medical, and pharmaceutical companies just south of S.F., and north of San Jose, they all moved to the Peninsula.

However, because many of my friends were alums of UC Berkeley, some found jobs in the East Bay, and chose to live on that side of the Bay, from Milpitas to Oakland to Brentwood to San Ramon. My friend above worked for the Alameda County court system in Oakland, and lived just one BART stop away, at Fruitvale.

While all of our weddings were awesome, and the music was pretty and moving, sometimes we just wanted to chill. While Swing Out Sister's "Breakout" was one of the first two songs at my wedding banquet, we liked 2004's "Caipirinha." While it has vocalizations, there really aren't any words. We learned that a caipirinha is actually a Brazilian alcoholic beverage, with sugarcane and lime. My friends don't drink, but audiophiles do. During those mid-2000s housewarming parties, SOS' "Caipirinha" was nice to have in the background.
