We've been reviewing the Simaudio 760A power amp. Even before it got to me, it had been to several households and commercial venues. It's not as heavy as other high-end amps. So with some care, one person can transport it via car.

I actually met up with a guy who lives in the same city. He has an ol' pair of Totem Rainmaker monitors. Whoa! When driven by quality electronics and cables, the Rainmaker is better than it has any right to be. A fan of the Eagles, Steely Dan, and the Doobie Brothers, this guy was immersed in and enjoyed Colbie Caillat's new "Still Gonna Miss You." He was aware of Caillat, going back to her "Bubbly," but he was impressed with the way she's aged. The song put him in such a good mood, he left the stereo behind (and in the process, we forgot to take more photos), and went for a walk along the Bay.
