That's a great album! I have a story about that one. It's a little awkward but here goes. My son and DIL came to visit. We were sampling some whiskies when I put on Melody Nelson. My DIL really liked what she was hearing. It wasn't long before she started getting a little frisky with my son. I excused myself. Anyhow, I sent her a copy for Christmas.
Next up, Je t'aime... On another visit, I put in the CD Initials SG: Best of Serge Gainsbourg. When we got to Je t'aime, my son, "Are you hearing this? What's going on?" Probably, what it sounded like was going on.
Serge with BB and w/Jane often make it into my Sunday afternoon listening. I'd highly recommend the above for "in the mood" music.
