A "RL" first-press "Led Zeppelin II" LP recently broke $4000 on eBay.

That's the Robert Ludwig cutting that was too "Hot" for Ahmet Ertegun's daughter's cheap bedroom stereo... which I guess was one of those "suitcase stereos."
So, Ertegun had a bit of a fit and had all the Hot LPs recalled and destroyed.
He then had his house engineers cut new lacquers from a reference analog cassette tape, with a bass cut, and dynamic compression.
Hence the premium for the RL cut.
