25 years ago, I was on a short trip to Oahu, visiting relatives. I got an email from an audiophile, whom I had met at San Francisco's Ultimate Sound. He invited me to his home in the East Bay Hills.
When I did go home to S.F., El NiƱo brought abundant rainfall. Loved it!
The audiophile lived off of Highway 13, surrounded by trees. But with the clouds, being indoors and listening to music seemed right. I do not recall the audiophile's name, I do not recall what gear he had. I think he had some British (maybe Harbeth?) box speakers on Target stands. But anyway, he had Enya's greatest hits CD, Paint The Sky With Stars. It featured a new song, "Only If."
And ever since then, I generally do not hear "Only If." So this is an example of music another audiophile introduced to me. Had he not done so, I would have missed "Only If." Can't believe that was 25 years ago!
