you're probably maybe right ...
having lived through the era of 'bubble-gum' and witnessing the bygone Menudo phenomena, despite 'boy bands' still finding an audience it just comes across as too slick and cynically repackaged teenage angst with store bought hormones music ... with stolen dance-able mod club features
in other words, I've heard it and too much of it
being around youth doesn't really help keep you young, that's a myth
it will definitely nurture your inner curmudgeon though
