not all rap is as you describe; it's infinitely varied, with different sounds from city-to-city---- and it's swept the world, from S. America to Asia to Europe to Australia.
Similarly, not all country music is idiotic, either.
There's some newish good pop music I think you'd like, if you gave it a chance. I think MorMor is a fantastic singer, pop song writer.
