Lanois is more famous as a producer (U2, Peter Gabriel, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Willie Nelson,
Emmylou Harris and many more) than musician.
Being a film guy you might remember his soundtrack work on the great Sling Blade.
Saw him live 20 years ago in a trio setting in a stunning show.
He had the best sound ever.
He's an extraordinarily talented dude.
