There is a recent Japanese remaster (see link), but I'm not sure if it's also a new remaster. I haven't heard the 24 bit remaster JonL is talking about.
Then again, there's a hybrid SACD issue of the same, which might or might not have a newly remastered CD layer - usually almost all hybrid SACDs have this. The U.S.-manufactured SACD I have is mastered by Kevin Reeves at Universal Mastering - maybe JonL can confirm whether it might a question of the same or a new remastering job.
You should be able to find the hybrid SACD at about all outlets, though I'm not sure if the U.S. edition is still in print. You can find the JPN SACDs (I don't know for a fact but am assuming that they are hybrid, with a CD layer, like the U.S. version I have) by following the links at the bottom of the linked page ("Other Versions").
It's a wonderful recording, one of my permanent icons, almost, of what music-making should be about. And I wholly agree with your opinion of Ella here.
