Well it had to happen. Someone somewhere must have had some recordings of her and Deutsche Grammaphone is the first one out of the box with Vol.1 of the authorized recordings. I discovered this treasure while browsing over at Classics Today. Jed Distler gives the cd an 8/6. If you are over there also check out the latest release from Concert Artists. It seems she is now also a composer, of Pictures At an Exhibition, no less. Mussorgsky probably won't mind if he is drunk enough where ever they both are now.
