I've never really listened to much of Jewel's music before, but wow, was she ever wonderful on Soundstage last evening. She has great range, interesting phrasing and writes a decent song too.She played a solo set that gave me goosebumps at times. Always at ease, the higher octaves floated from her mouth as if she was not even trying. If this is a different Jewel that you thought you knew, then you owe it to yourself to see this show. I know I will be checking her out more closely...her music, yeah, HER MUSIC! :)
