No doubting many folks may prefer recordings with his earlier sideman. I have lost count how many times I have spun those on my CDP or TT.Unfortunately, getting one's hands on his last trio recordings is not easily done. Most of the music is contained in boxed sets, and some are OOP. Even some of the other individual recordings released with this trio are OOP.
I do plan to try more. I thing at least for myself it is a mistake not to. It really doesn't matter which trio IMHO I prefer! That is a discussion of a different topic.
Perhaps for what you heard you don't really feel a need to continue and I can understand that since you have acquainted yourself at least with those recordings. Not sure however just a small sample is representative enough of recordings by this trio if one hasn't gone further.
