FYI --For those of you who frequent sites that feature downloading via rapidshare, you may be interested to know that a suit has been filed in Germany by GEMA (which seems to be similar to RIAA here in the U.S.). IANAL, but the case looks to be similar to the Napster case in that rapidshare is claiming they have no control over the illegal distribution of copyrighted materials that their customers make available for download, while GEMA is arguing that they do, in fact, have responsibility to control the distribution of copyright protected materials on their network. We know how this kind of case got decided in the U.S. Things may go differently in German courts (or not), but I am sure the RIAA is helping GEMA all they can.
