I urge music lovers to check out the Janacek operas. Probably the two easiest places to start are Jenufa and the Cunning Little Vixen. There are well-known and well-reveiwed versions by Mackerras on Decca, but I prefer the flavour of the genuine Czech article on Supraphon. There are some stunning offers right now in the Xmas prezzy buying window, and I urge you to have a look at this site and SPEND!!I have most of them already, but I'll definitely be buying what I don't have at these prices.
