I used to be a great customer of EMI in the UK until they moved offshore. Their prices were good and freight reasonable although I could never persuade them to package properly so many "jewel" [LOL] cases arrived cracked or broken. But since EMI moved to Guernsey I've given MTD my custom and their site and service is excellent. The CDs/SACDs come individually wrapped in bubblewrap with very little damage after travelling half way around the world.
And their site is brilliant. They mention any "Gramophone", "Penguin Guide" etc commendations - makes selection a lot easier, but very clever as I find myself seduced into discs I might otherwise ignore.
They have some yummie specials listed at the moment, among them some outstanding Decca "Legends" [excellent sonics and artistry].
Apologies if it sounds like an MTD promo but I believe in giving praise where praise is due.
John
Do not criticise the idiots in this world - we need them as they make the rest of us look so much better :-)
