Thanks for passing along the sad news Rick.Walter was a sweet guy and such a fine bassist. The first time I heard him was with Betty Carter. Later, I heard him several times with Sarah Vaughan and a couple times with Bertha Hope.
Due to his recording affiliation with Mapleshade, a lot of audio folks were introduced to his fine work.
