I heard the end potion of a classical piece today on line from a NY station ( WCNY 2). It was one of the most powerful endings for a symphonic piece I have ever heard. At times it sounded like Mahler and others like R.Strauss. I am familiar with most of the works of these two composers ,but couldn't makE a connection to a specific piece . Are there other composers that could have written something like this? If anyone heard this today on WCNY 2 and know what it was I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
