I don't know if you remember, but I bought a Scott 299B receiver last year. After my friend changed a couple of caps and noisy tubes, I've been using it sparingly, mostly because of the very decent Scott phono stage. However, it's got a maze of filters that are in the way of music. I remember it took you a while to bypass those filters on the Bogen. But we cut off the phono stage in the Bogen, because I had a separate phono preamp. Now that preamp crapped out on me, and I switched to Scott full-time.
I just bought the Juicy Music BlueBerry Extreme preamp to mate with my K-horns. A friend has it feeding into the Wright 10watt monoblocks and the sound from his K-horns is simply amazing. Mine isn't quite there, but when I receive the BlueBerry I think I'll be all set. I'm hoping the BlueBerry-Bogen combo will be sweet. The phono section in the BlueBerry Extreme is especially lauded by all the K-horn people.
