Home Music Lane

It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

A message from my ex-sister-in-law for those in NYC area

I hope nobody minds me posting this. It really is for the benefit of musicians and music diggers. She produces this gratis, I post it gratis and it even cost the club manager some bread. There is NO MINIMUM OR COVER. Can't beat that. P.S. She is a working conga player but if she happens to play here she does it gratis also. They're all trying to get something going! The music is NY eclectic. Thanks.

Hi Barry,
Please, if you would post some of this info for me on jazz/music bulletin
boards. It would be appreciated, enormously! i need all the help i can get. the
manager is such a good guy... he paid for the band out of his own pocket.
I would love you to come, of course.... but i know that probably won't happen.
love,
v

Opening night was great! There was a large turn out, everyone was comfortable
and loved the room. The Sultans Of Soul, a terrific doo wop group began the
evening, opening for the aptly named Funkasaurus Rex, who made us all so happy
with those wonderful arrangements of songs we know played by amazing players!
Wrecia Ford, here briefly from Germany, and her company of friends were a
wonderful addition to the evening.

We have the next two Tuesdays booked, and need all of you to come out and
join us. Clubs are only interested in their bottom line, while our interest is
the music and the people.
