... is much better live, IMO. I was fairly nonplussed by the CD, but as a vehicle for Upshaw, it works well live. Which I guess is a luke warm endorsement.I'm always happy to see a contemporary composer get some attention, so I suppose it's a good thing that Golijov is kind of trendy right now. But give me John Adams any day.
