I stayed home today, i had been up till AM and was again awakened by the proximate shrieking of Emergency Vehicle Sirens. With just four hours sleep i stumbled to the Espresso Machine and managed a Dopio.Morning news shows, traffic and lousy weather reports harangued my eggshell skull tenderizing my Grey Matter like Julia Child Preparing a slab of steak. The sensation that I'd been hit in the face with a crowbar persisted as i sipped that dark relief.A few visits to the Asylum and other boards passed the succeeding hours till i had the presence of mind to light up the Hi-Fi.I chose The Chausson work by Perlman,Bolet and Juilliard String Quartet, lay on the couch and listened. It was the first time I'd let myself just listen to the piece and it was good.Is this a satisfying piece of music or what? Is this the definitive recording on CBS masterworks or are there better.Anyone else like this composition?
